LLTC`B 2006 Prep. Day 12th Oct

After my final paper on 12th Oct, we the Organising Team (OT) for LLTC`B 2006 went to St. Patrick's School for preparation day with our luggage.
But before that i went to play LAN, since the meeting started at 2pm only, and met a few people from the OT at the LAN shop, and sadly a few of them decided to pon the preparation.
Oh well, since they had their minds made up i decided not to persuade them to go. So after the 2-3hrs of LAN i carried my bag and took a train, then bus to SPS.
When i reached there 5 minutes after 2pm, i realised that only 4 other people were there only.
But very well, after about half an hour or so, almost everyone came and i guessed preparation ran pretty smoothly.
Being in the secretariat team, i stayed till about 9pm to help out before taking a 1hr+ bus and train ride home.

LLTC`B 2006 13th-15th Oct

Rise and shine. LLTC`B 2006 has begun! The camp which was a collaboration between SPS and SJI to develop potential future leaders, consisted of supposedly 80 participants but only around 70 turned up. There were also several sec4s, J1s, adult leaders, and most importantly, about 30 facilitators to help out in the camp.

So everyone participants, facilitators, and adult helpers gathered at SJI. Registration and ice breakers ran pretty smoothly, followed by Walk the Talk where the participants and a few facilitators were supposed to carry their bags and walk from SJI to SPS. WTF? Well quite a few groups made it, in a good period of about 3 and a half hours.

I couldnt really remember any eventful stuff which happened the first 2 days since i was in the main secretariat team and had to get stuck inside a little room with the rest of the team. It wasnt that bad, since i had a couple of good friends to accompany me and best of all, LAPTOPS! I watched lots of youtubes videos like hard gay and all the japanese videos, etc. Best of all- Prison Break.

I also met this fellow whose a 23 year old fellow known as XY who is also the chief secretariat of the camp. A very humble and forgiving fellow, quite rare since he was previously from SJI track and field team. Even when my friend and I were late for his schedules, he simply gave us a gentle warning and let us off (:

The few best parts of the camp were firstly- Solidarity Lasalliana, a quiet meal for lots of reflection to take place. Secondly- the meals of course! I just love food X) Thirdly- raping! Char kwaytiow ar, charkway tiow, roti prata, char kway tiow (2x). Teh tarek, teh tarek, roti prata charkway tiow! Fourthly- Closing of the camp! I was slightly pleased when people finally started singing. Well its because the participants were rather unwilling to participate much and show enthusiasm towards the camp, so when i saw hope, i was naturally happy. Lastly- XY birthday! Very coincidentally, this cool dude's birthday fell on the same day as the third day of the camp, so the OT had pizzas and birthday cakes to celebrate his birthday. Definitely a pleasant surprise for him, especially when we brought him down and "raped" him too.

HAHA!

Okay i love the camp. A couple of times people asked me why i join like to join such camps, well i think i found quite a suitable answer. Its because when i leave SJI, i can look back and remember significant things which i've done in the school, and also have a bigger network of friends from the lasallian community. Best of all, i'll have a sense of belonging to the school and have school spirit. Long live SJI!
