Scoutlore Static Display Competition-2nd Sept
Silver. Not good at all for many but then, thats because their the ones talking, not the ones doing it. I've learnt from this experiences and thats what that matters now, at least i'm more prepared for future competitions.
LLTC "B" Organising Team Retreat-2nd to 3rd Sept
Arrived during dinner time at St. Patrick's. Totally lost as i missed out so much that morning due to the competition. Felt so outcasted since i didnt belong to any big group =/ Worst of all, i didnt really enjoy it, neither did i find it very fruitful. But then...doesnt matter, it ended at about 12.30pm on Sunday and i rushed home to rest before the next part of the day...
Leaders Retreat 2006-3rd to 5th Sept
We started of with lectures that night. The next morning we set off to Malaysia. 5 bus rides and 1 boat ride, this is what happens when u dont get a chartered bus. But then...cool experience. We arrived at the resort island before lunch and settled in quickly, lunch was served and after that we began planning for the future of the unit by doing "The Dream". Next we went trekking of the rocky coastline before heading back to wash up or SWIM!!! The most eventful part for me was after dinner, we had clearing the air session where people could openly let out their grudges and problems, after that was affirmation. The next day we did our unit's Vision and Mission and Action Plan. At last, the crazy 4 days of 1 competition and 2 camps side by side was finally over.
This camp has definitely been fruitful, especially since i got to know people better and bonded even more with those i've already known quite well. Most of the problems were finally settled and our goals have been set. Hopefully the future will be bright for us, definitely problems will arise and disagreements will be there, but it is all part of life. Its only up to us to pick up after falling and learn from experiences, and remember that only if we unite ourselves as a level, only then can we make things happen.
