Situation: One day you (subject A) took a little guy's pencilbox, apparently his your classmate as well. You felt bored and decided to throw it to a friend at the opposite end of the class. Weee...he (subject B) successfully caught it. Joining in the fun, he threw it back, however, an extra guy (subject C) hits the pencilbox as it was flying midair and caused it to fall out of the window.
It went 3 storeys down. Unexpectedly, the teacher was at the door when you turned around after looking at it fall out of the window. You guessed she pretty much witness half of what has just happened. You knew the priority was to quickly get the pencilbox otherwise someone else might have taken it, you went 3 storeys down to get it, you found it and returned back to class. You found out that the teacher just ended her short lecture about the incident upon returning to the class. You returned the pencilbox to the victim, however, the teacher said nothing to you. After awhile, the class settled down and the victim tells you that his stapler has been broken. Doing the right think, you decided to compensate him by paying him some money. After school, Subject B and the victim was asked to stayback by the teacher for some questioning. You guessed you would get most of the blame and you're pretty sure you're going to get some screwing tomorrow.
Question: Whose to be blamed for the broken stapler?
Answer: Everyone.
Lesson learnt: Think twice before doing something. However, upon doing it and screwing it up, react quickly before things gets out of hand.
