Yet Another Scout-ish Week Slacking in the den!!!...no lah, its just that their shift just ended My ex-classmate practicing some rifle drills, quite good lah Okay so after this boring part of the day, here comes the afternoon. Its at least more fun than the morning, so i went to Kum's house! Again! But this time alone, just him and me, coz we have to piak a project since the others are busy. I rushed there ,ate lunch, and reached his place before1.30pm. So here goes... Next we started painting them! Kum in action again! Uhh...thats actually basically wad we did that day. Haha, its alot of work for 2 people okay!!! Anyway this fellow is so egoist that he asked me to take and put more pictures of him on his blog. So after painting, we let it dry then we dotaed, played chess, then slept at ard 12+...on the same bed (: My second time sleeping on the same bed with another friend. We're all guys afterall. So thats him struggling to wake up at 8.20pm? Oh oh...and this fellow got like so many girls contacting him like that. First he smsed this girl called Jasmine, then got 1 girl called Christina called him and like try to seduce him to have sex with her. Aiyo, both are sluts lah. Well, stuff like that distracted us, thats why we couldnt finish much, but at least we put in effort and did more then the past 2 meetings when we had all 5 members down. TSK TSK. And ya...i cant help but keep pinching his chubby face. 16.7.2006: FLAG DAY Very crappy day lah, had to wake up early just because of this. So my great mum fetched me to jurong east mrt then i took train to tanjong pargar mrt station where we were supposed to meet. Pretty much on time (: And then wtf...we had to fall-in and the MRT station, thats the weirdest part about scouts lah =/ But nvm, its discipline, we're advertising ourselves also since there were quite a number of people passing by and staring at us as if we're some FON. Report strength...then fall out...then walk to TP CC...then divided into 3 groups to go to 3 different area of TP...then walk to our area...then sub divided into smaller groups of 2. Shannon, me and a RC member teamed together to cover a block to sell national day flag, or at least encourage them to buy and hang it. Blardy hell lah, the whole blog like 3/4 foriegners one, tell me, sell wad sell?! So shannon and i ended up selling none, while the dude sold 6, out of approximately 95 apartments. Really pathetic lah...but cant help it, those foriegner construction workers mainly from china and indian obviously couldnt be bothered. Crappy experience!...and i still have to write update and reflection on it. Oh well...So after that we took a shuttle bus back to TP mrt. While waiting... Stingray took a patrol picture together! w00t! Stingray strength 10 presence 8, marcus and zhi hao not down. Wee...so thats the 8 of us, STINGRAY 2006.
14.7.2006: FINAL PLC
"We're going to announce the CSM, ACSM, Secretaries, QMs and Treasurer..."
I couldnt believe my ears, i didnt expect that i would find out my fate so soon, i wasnt even ready to accept the fact that i wasnt SPL. But it came...
"CSM...Luzhi", as i heard that, i assured myself that i was no longer the SPL since i had a pretty clear idea how things was going. True indeed...
"SPL of Sea: Arthur Khoo", the dream was gone, a beautiful start yet a sad ending.
So it continued..."SPL of Land: Matthew Khoo, Secretaries: Kenny Yap & Jared Koh, QMs: Z-win and Fabian, Treasurer: Nicholas Chan".
Things came in as a shock for all of us, i doubt anyone at all expected that today was the day for us, the day which we would know the results of all those hard work we put in these few years. For Lu Zhi, his happy of course, so congrats, do a good job as TL.
For Arthur, he was sad at first, but i guess he cheered up and i'm glad his more focused now rather than whining over what cannot be undone.
For Matthew Khoo, I wasnt clear about his feelings at first, but after awhile it seemed that he was contented and satisfied to be the SPL.
As for Jared...he expected it of course, for Fabian, over the moon, i didnt expect that he would get it, i really hope he'll be more serious and do a good job as a QM, and for Z-win, all the best in the future when working with the grand QM committee.
As for Nicholas, he seems quite upset since he thinks that his not going to be PL, aiyah, i'm sure he will, even if he doesnt, his at least in the secretary committee, and maybe the 8th one?
After the announcement and the fall-out, i stumbled towards the bench at the pull-up bar. I felt like tearing, but then couldnt find a reason to. Suddenly someone came over to tell me something, i felt rejuvenated. Yet also touched, i didnt expect that anyone would care about me, but then at that moment he boosted my confidence and pride once more and after that i didnt feel so liveless anymore.
Later on, Matthew Khoo handed me a small piece of paper...on the paper it showed the rankings for the top 4 nominations for the top 3 ranks in scouts, i was positioned last. I never knew that, all along i was told i was 3rd and i thought so too. At that moment, i felt really stupid, was i cheated all along? Was i the left out idiot? But then i told myself it didnt matter anymore, its over. I took the paper and came as a...souvenir? So the day came to a close soon after that, quite a number of people encouraged me not to be so sad and do a good job as a secretary. Yes i would not disappoint the unit, i will work hard to make a difference.
15.7.2006: Info Day
Yet another day with a scout event. Really boring, it was just SJI open house, so i'm not going to post about the boring parts.
First we started cutting out the cardboards into very neat and proper shapes...
i brought my philippino maid along! Haha, no lah, this f****t-like creature is just another bitchy secretary.
Okay and on the way back i got to take some pictures of this cutie, hahaha! okay thats about it! This dude really cheers me up, haha. So now its back to school, hopefully i can think less about scouts now and concentrate on studies! Long live stingray!
