PLTC IS OVER!!! My patrol got second and i think thats what we deserved, first would go to a much more motivated patrol. Still, i put in my best effort to work and motivate them as well as i could.
I'm glad that i could hang on throughout this entire camp, many of a time i felt like giving up after looking at my super unmotivated patrol. Thats why i would like to thank a couple of people who allowed us to get at least a second position. Firstly, PeiYuan my mentor who helped us in many ways, both physically and mentally (: Next would be Aravin would gave us hints and advices quite a few times, and also stayed up through the third night with Adam, me and PeiYuan to chat with us and give us some life. I would also like to thank Patrick for being a good adviser, not because he gave us alot of motivation or whatsoever, because thats the job of an initiative leader or patrol member, its because he allowed us to learn bit by bit, thats what made a good adviser. I would also like to thank Qi Sheng, for giving me much advice during camp preparation when i felt helpless most of the time. Lastly, i would like to thank God for bringing me through this camp and back home safetly and keeping me motivated and strong.
I'm glad i learnt a lot of things for being a good leader, who says u need alot of skills and knowledge to be a good leader? Well, u might need that but thats just part of being a leader. Most importantly, u must be able to make use of what u have; in this case ur manpower and be able to motivate them and made them do ur will. Besides that, i'm definitely sure my campcraft skills has improved, not to mention my physical and mental state...coz now i'm stronger than yesterday...!!!
This life of scouting is definitely not over yet, theres still stepping up, the next PLTC, the next stepping up, and maybe...just maybe, ventures? Hah, its yet to come, but i'll just consider then.
