A tough Scout-ish week
5 days since i last posted, coz it has been a VERY VERY busy week. But still, a week well spent. Since monday i've been staying back everyday to help out in sec1 UGO orientation or at least giving them EYE POWER most of the time. still i ended up going home late at around 6-7 everyday from monday to wednesday.
On thursday, 19th Jan '06 it was the sec1 UGO orientation. Honestly, i must say that the scouts orientation presentation was the best as i could tell that we had put in much more efforts then the other UGOs. We had 3 kitchen sheds and under each of them there are different sections about scouting, or scouting equipments, or knots. There was also a tower, where the sec1s could climb WITH their life being risked. Fortunately no one was hurt. The best part about that day was the cooking of the chicken!!! cooked using fire from twigs and leaves, and seasoned with some 'special seasoning' from 1 of the scouts, the partially blackened chicken tasted totally delicious... YUMMY!!! so the orientation ended at 4.30pm and we had to take down most of the stuff by that day, with little men power, we had to work double hard. it ended at 6.30pm+ and i reached home at 7.30pm+ feeling blardy tired.
Today was the sec1 orientation campfire. Instead of the usual training after school, i was selected to help to set up the campfire, well at least the less important parts, coz the more important parts were for the more reliable ppl to do. wadeva...anyway when the campfire started, i think most of the scouts went "OMG! SHIT!"...well coz out of 3 of the fireball which flew to the campfire pit, none of them manage to make the pit burn. luckily we reacted quickly and added heavy kerosened wood to the fire. YAY!!! CAMPFIRE'S BURNING! the ending rocked...cheers CHEERS AND MORE CHEERS! J.O.S.E.P.H.S! ORA ORA ALL THE WAY!...wooo...so over all the campfire was great. i stayed back to help clean up the place and even though the campfire ended at 9pm, i was dismissed only at 10. A big thanks to everyone who made this campfire possible (:
Gotta go now, tmr i haf to go for parenting talk. 5 hrs of CIP! WOO! SJI!
