Capital Punishment; Death penalty
It sounded so clear
The same year after year on this island
Watching our brothers and sisters die on a rope
And seeing their mothers weeping dry
This after all, isn’t a lie
These peeps cannot vouch for themselves nor justify
For once they are caught, its time to say goodbye
An eye for an eye
For who knows they were betrayed
By a drug-lord whom he trusted
How can all this be denied?
At the day of the execution
To end all this once and for all
After the ‘killer’ would say
I will take you to a place
Where thou wouldn’t be alone any longer
But at their last breath
The shouted
Heavenly father, please save me, I’m innocent
Yet once they’re here, people think they’re like heaps of garbage
But still they waited for a brim of hope to shine
For someone to say hi
Jesus, why must another human die?
For just because of another human’s pie
He will still die
But who can deny the fact of human error
But before it is passed, they say bye and passed on…
